Who are we?
The GIS EAU TOULOUSE promotes, encourages and supports collaborative research actions in the field of water for socio-economic and academic actors.
- The methods of water control, development design, extreme management, pollution treatment, environmental monitoring and governance are being questioned in terms of their ability to take into account all these changes in the water cycle and in society. At the same time, recent technological developments have led to increased knowledge of the state and location of water, but also to more efficient (and more numerous) uses, as well as an acceleration and optimisation of reuse cycles. These developments are based in particular on space, image analysis, the development of sensors for in-situ observations and measurements in connection with permanent data storage, social networks and artificial intelligence. The Occitania Region is a hot spot for these changes and technology developments.
